Infant — Children Assistance

Sevier County Health DepartmentWIC Program provides supplemental nutritious foods and nutrition information for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children to age 5 years. Breastfeeding information and support are also available for moms and their families. To check eligibility or schedule an appointment, call the Sevier County Health

School Lunch Program

Applications for Free or Reduced price breakfast and lunch are included in all school packets at the first of school, or you can request an application from your school’s cafeteria. It is a FAMILY APPLICATION, which means only one is required per family. Any questions? Sevier County Mobile Meals

The Sevier County Office on Aging offers meals to homebound.seniors over 60 years of age. Once a week, volunteers deliver five frozen meals along with fruits, snacks, desserts, and breads to homebound seniors in Sevier County. The cost per meal is on a sliding scale based on the individual’s income. Very low-income seniors may receive their meals at no charge. This also is an option for those on waiting list for Meats on Wheels program For information contact Vicky Payne (865) 4538080

Participants cannot receive meals from two programs at the same time. (Example: Douglas Cherokee — Meals on Wheels, Humana Meals, Sevier County Mobile Meals).

Douglas-Cherokee Meals on Wheels Douglas-Cherokee Meals on Wheels provides hot, home delivered meals to homebound seniors age 60+ and congregate meals at various nutrition sites. The program targets low-income and disabled seniors but income is not a factor in determining meal eligibility. Eligibility is determined by applicant needs.

  • Renaissance Square Apartments 135 W. Macon Ln., Seymour, TN Monday — Friday at 12 Noon
  • LeConte Terrace 210 Maggie Mack Lane, Sevierville Monday — Friday at 11:15 AM

Seniors do not have to live at these apartments in order to eat the hot meals. Any questions please call (423) 587-4500.
